Athletic Trainer | Full-time | Days 

Serves as a clinical and educational resource for staff, students, area coaches, athletic directors and physicians. Provides quality care to patients of all ages through the proper utilization of assessment, planning, implementation and instruction. Carries out all procedures in accordance with established state and national standards, policies, protocols and guidelines. 

Primary duty includes the performance of work requiring advanced knowledge, in a field of science or learning, and which requires the consistent exercise of discretion and judgment.

Dietary Aide/Cook | Food and Nutrition | Full-Time | Days/Weekend Rotation

Cooks meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products as well as prepares and portions food products prior to cooking. Responsible for assisting in all tasks related to menu planning, food production, handling and storing of food, cafeteria services and sanitation within the food services department. Performs a variety of food service duties to facilitate efficient workflow within food and nutrition services. Prepares and serves food and beverages. Cleans and sanitizes facilities, equipment, dishes and utensils.

Medical Lab Scientist/Technician | Lab | Full-time


POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs laboratory procedures according to established and approved protocols that require the limited exercise of independent judgment and interpretation. Tests are performed with the technical supervision of a clinical laboratory scientist/medical technologist, manager, or laboratory director. May perform laboratory procedures across the major areas of the laboratory, or concentrate activity in one area such as blood banking, chemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology, or histology.
Responsibilities may include: follows established procedures for collecting and processing biological specimens for analysis; performs chemical, microbiologic, immunologic, hematologic and immuno-hematologic laboratory procedures that require limited independent judgment; recognizes unexpected results and instrument malfunction and takes appropriate action; provides laboratory information to authorized sources; demonstrates laboratory technical skills to other laboratory colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Associates-Required
  • Associates degree and completion of an NAACLS accredited medical laboratory technician program OR
  • Associates degree and at least 60 academic credit hours including 6 hours chemistry and 6 hours biology and successful completion of a 50-week US military medical laboratory training course. OR
  • Associates degree and at least 60 academic credit hours including 6 hours chemistry and 6 hours biology and 3 years full time lab experience in an accredited laboratory within the last 10 years.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations: 
  • Medical Technician or Medical Laboratory Scientist or eligibility for certification by a nationally recognized certifying agency such as ASCP, NCA, AMT, HEW or other laboratory certifying agency is required. Certification must be received within 90 days of hire.
  • Physician Practice - Certificates, Licenses & Registrations Requirements: MLT certification preferred.

Physical Therapist | Full-time | Days | Alton Physical Therapy


POSITION SUMMARY:
Evaluates rehabilitative needs in scope of physical therapy for patients with neuro/muscular/skeletal dysfunction. Designs and performs appropriate patient treatment plan in order to achieve maximum functional potential. Provides services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease.

Performs patient care under the direction of a registered nurse. Greets, assists, and directs patients and visitors and monitors activity to establish a friendly caring environment. Provides care for patients according to the standards of care specific to age and the individual’s needs. May collect blood samples and process specimens. Maintains a safe, clean, and well-equipped environment.

  • Eligible to work as a nursing assistant in the hospital and/or home health care agency as listed on the state Nurse Aide Registry

Surgical Technologist | OR | Full-Time | Days 

POSITION SUMMARY: 
Assists the surgical team members (surgeon, anesthesiologist, CRNA, perfusion, circulator) in providing intraoperative care to the perioperative patient by preparing and monitoring equipment, passing instruments, maintaining the sterile field, assisting with patient transfer/positioning and performing a variety of surgical skills and procedures.

Technical Analyst | Information Systems | Full-Time | Days 


POSITION SUMMARY: Under direct supervision, provides basic technical support for system Software and develops reports and utility applications as required. Modifies existing software and configures new system software. Demonstrates a basic working knowledge of the application and how it interrelates to the operating system of the various computer platforms. Utilizes the tools of the application and the operating system platform to tune the processing, and to manipulate and restore files and/or data structures as required.
